Teechers evokes life at a modern comprehensive school. Mr Nixon – the new drama teacher – arrives to find that life at the school will be a huge challenge. Cynical colleagues, obstructive caretakers and naughty students all combine in a blur of quick-witted and loveable characters.
Can Nixon and his students manage to make it through to the end of term play with their sanity intact? In John Godber’s hilarious Teechers expect the unexpected!
GETTING THERE BY TRAIN: Frequent CONNECT METRO to Deptford/New Cross from London Bridge/Waterloo East/Charing Cross: journey time approximately 10-15 mins. Last train to Charing Cross from Deptford: weekdays 23.29, Saturday 23.49, Sunday 23.00 BY TUBE: East London Line from Whitechapel to New Cross. BY BUS: The following buses all stop within 5 minutes walk: 21, 36, 47, 136, 171, 177, 188, 225, N1, N3, N47, N21, N53, N70, N81. BY CAR: From Central London join the Old Kent Road at Elephant & Castle (A2). Take the third street on the left (Watson Street) after New Cross Station. Ample street parking.
Just to let you know that we will be doing a stagger-through the play with me on Tuesday 19th June, 5.15 - 6.45pm - so make sure you've learnt your lines as we've only got 1 and a half hours for the lot! Cheers, Judy
